Thank you for choosing Blakey Printing Company for your printing needs! We strive to provide the highest quality service and design options. Please review the following terms and conditions related to our free setup and design services, which apply to all clients who wish to take advantage of these offerings.
1. Free Setup and Design Services
We offer free setup and design services for qualifying print products. This includes the following:
Design Services: Our free design services include initial artwork setup and up to 2 edits or variations to the original design. These edits are limited to minor changes such as color adjustments, font changes, or layout modifications.
Note: Additional design services beyond the first 2 edits/variations will be subject to additional charges. These charges will be communicated upfront if the scope of work exceeds the initial offer. If the order is canceled before production, artwork and setup fees will be charged at our standard design rate.
2. Eligibility for Free Design Services
Print Services Requirement: Free design services are only available with the purchase of certain qualifying print services. The number of prints required to qualify for free design services will be detailed in your quote or order agreement.
Example: For a print order of [X] quantity of brochures, business cards, or flyers, you may qualify for free setup and design services. Please inquire directly with our team to ensure your order meets the eligibility requirements.
3. Ownership and Licensing of Artwork
Artwork Ownership: Blakey Printing Company retains full ownership and licensing rights to all artwork created during the design process. This means that while the client may receive a finalized version of the design for the specified print materials, Blakey Printing Company holds the copyright to the design.
Usage Rights: The client is granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the design specifically for the printed materials that were purchased. The design may not be used for any other purposes, or for additional print runs or projects outside the scope of the original order, without explicit written permission from Blakey Printing Company.
Additional Usage: If the client requires further use of the design, such as for web use, merchandise, or future print projects beyond the original scope, a licensing fee may apply. Blakey Printing Company reserves the right to determine the cost of extended licensing.
Client Provided Artwork Ownership & Copyright
By submitting artwork, you confirm that:You are the rightful owner of the artwork or have obtained all necessary permissions for its use.
The artwork is not copyrighted material belonging to another party.
You understand that the printing company will not recreate, reproduce, or print any copyrighted work that you do not own.
We reserve the right to refuse any project that may infringe on intellectual property laws.
Right of Refusal
The printing company reserves the right to refuse any artwork or job that is considered offensive, inappropriate, or illegal, at our sole discretion.
4. Additional Design Services and Fees
Beyond 2 Edits/Variations: After the initial 2 edits or variations, clients will be charged for further design work. Rates for additional design services will be provided upon request and are based on the complexity of the changes needed.
Custom Artwork: If the client requests entirely custom artwork or major alterations to the design that falls outside the scope of our free service, additional fees will apply. These fees will be agreed upon in advance and outlined in a revised quote or agreement.
5. Final Approval
Approval Process: The client will be provided with a proof of the design before final production. Any requests for changes must be made during the proofing phase. Once the design is approved by the client, no further edits will be made, and the project will move to print production as is.
All jobs require client approval of a digital proof prior to production.
By approving the proof, you confirm all text, spelling, grammar, images, colors, and layout are correct. No changes can be made after approval without additional costs.
6. Other Terms and Conditions
Cancellations: If the client decides to cancel the order before the design or print work is completed, any design work provided up to that point will remain the property of Blakey Printing Company, and the client will not be entitled to use any artwork outside the scope of the original order.
By proceeding with your order, you agree to the terms outlined in this disclosure.
