A New Generation Takes the Lead
In 2023, Robert Henderson Jr. and his wife, Brittney, took over Blakey Printing, beginning a new chapter in the company's long history.
For Robert, taking over meant carrying forward a business that had been part of his life since childhood. It was an opportunity to build upon everything he had learned while also bringing new ideas, services, technology, and energy to the company.
For Brittney, joining Robert in leading Blakey Printing has meant becoming part of that legacy while helping shape the company's future. Together, they are focused on maintaining the personal service and attention to detail that customers have come to expect while continuing to modernize the business and expand what BPC can offer.
Their goal is simple: keep the values that made Blakey Printing successful while continuing to find better ways to serve today's customers.

Where It All Began
In 1965, Mr. Leon Blakey founded Blakey Printing Company in downtown Elizabethtown, establishing the first full-service print shop in Hardin County. For the next 33 years, Mr. Blakey operated the business and built a strong foundation based on hard work, quality printing, and personal relationships with his customers.
In 1998, Rex and Jannette Henderson purchased Blakey Printing, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the printing industry with them. Under their leadership, Blakey Printing continued to grow while adapting to the ever-changing printing industry and the needs of local businesses, organizations, churches, schools, government agencies, and individuals.
A Family Grows Up in the Print Shop
For Robert Henderson Jr., Blakey Printing has never simply been a place of business—it has been a part of his life.
Robert grew up around the print shop, watching firsthand the work, dedication, and relationships that went into running a local printing business. At just 18 years old, Robert began working at Blakey Printing, learning the trade from the ground up.
Over the years, Robert gained hands-on experience throughout the business and developed a deep understanding of what it takes to produce quality printed products while taking care of customers. From the production side of the business to working directly with customers and understanding the many details involved in getting a job from an idea to a finished product, Robert's experience has been built over decades.
His connection to Blakey Printing is more than professional. It is a continuation of a family legacy that began when Rex and Jannette Henderson purchased the company.
